The Quality Tourism Best Practices Application System (SABP – CALTUR) is awarded by MINCETUR to Peruvian companies that meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. On this occasion, SALKANTAY TREKKING has achieved the Gold Level, the highest of the three available tiers.

We are honored by our nomination as Peru's Leading Tour Operator at the World Travel Awards. These prestigious awards, known as the "Oscars of the tourism industry," recognize excellence globally and regionally in various categories, including hotels, tourist accommodations, tourist attractions, and airlines. LUXlife Magazine awards the "Best Small Group Trekking Operators in Southeastern Peru" award to the best tour companies offering small group trekking tours in southeastern Peru.

Due to the impact of the pandemic, new biosecurity measures and protocols to avoid the spread of the virus appeared. Therefore, the Regional Management of Foreign Trade, Tourism and Handicrafts Cusco - GERCETUR awarded Salkantay Trekking the Safe Travels Seal for compliance with the Plan of Surveillance, Prevention, and Control of the COVID-19, the terms and conditions set by the World Travel & Tourism Council - WTTC.

Salkantay Trekking were the proud winners of the award Peru’s Leading Tour Operator in the World Travel Awards, beating 9 other nominees to the top spot. The awards aim to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence in the travel and tourism industry and are the ultimate hallmark of quality.

In 2020. Salkantay Trekking was given the European Quality Award by Europe Business Assembly in the Top-100 Achievements Register, which is a prestigious prize that recognizes a whole host of outstanding factors regarding the company. The EBA experts in charge of researching for this award have the aim of selecting and encouraging promising companies and brands at the forefront of regional business, for which Salkantay Trekking has been noticed.

Another great achievement for Salkantay Trekking in 2020 was becoming the winner of the Best Efficient Premium Tour Operator - Peru at the South America Business Awards. This prize recognizes hard-working companies and individuals who contribute greatly to tourism in the region and who allow it to grow at the rapid rate that it is right now.

Delivery of the "Latin American Quality Awards 2020" in Brazil, recognition granted to the Companies and Institutions that stood out for their Quality Management and commitment to Total Responsibility in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), through the Vice Ministry of Tourism, recognized 704 companies in the country for applying good practices in tourism service management during 2019, as part of the implementation of the System for the Application of Good Practices (SABP).

Delivery of the "Latin American Quality Awards 2019" in Brazil, recognition granted to the Companies and Institutions that stood out for their Quality Management and commitment to Total Responsibility in the region.

The Peruvian Public Opinion, awards the company SALKANTAY TREKKKING, seeking to highlight the effort, quality and talent of the company along with its Entrepreneurs and/or Successful Professionals, so that they can access that world where the dream comes true.

The Miradas Award is the highest international recognition granted by the Corporación Latina de Comunicaciones, through the magazine "Miradas" to companies, individuals and organizations linked to tourism, gastronomy and related activities that excel in the development of such activities.

We have successfully obtained TOURCERT Certification, which is an innovation company that brings together experts in tourism, science, environment, development and politics with the aim of certifying companies that meet the highest standards of sustainability and social responsibility.

The Peruvian Civil Association of the Year is a non-profit institution that recognizes the efficiency in management and administrative management and the total quality of the products and services offered by companies in Peru.

This recognition is thanks to the innovation, modernity, technology and sustainability of our country and the companies that reinforce this position.

Continuing with the achievements that our company has achieved in 2018, we want to tell you that between November 20 and 22, in the City of Punta del Este in Uruguay, Salkantay Trekking was recognized with the LATIN AMERICA QUALITY AWARDS AWARD.

As part of the annual activities for the International Tourism Month, the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism held a colorful parade, where the main tourism agencies of the city participated. This was a moment to demonstrate the enthusiasm and joy that surrounds all the actors related to the important tourism industry in Cusco.

The "Miradas" award is the highest international recognition granted by the Corporación Latina de Comunicaciones, through the magazine "Miradas" to companies, individuals and organizations linked to tourism, gastronomy and related activities that excel in the development of such actions.

On the occasion of the closing of the activities for the Month of Tourism 2018, an elegant awards ceremony was held at the facilities of the DIRCETUR, in the Plaza Túpac Amaru in the city of Cusco, where awards were given to different companies and personalities involved in the tourism sector.

This award recognizes the positioning of companies at local, national and international level. In addition, the Peruvian Chamber of Commerce distinguishes companies that have an excellent after-sales service, facilitating business opportunities, promoting competitiveness and socially responsible development.

From Cusco, Salkantay Trekking continues to reap success internationally, thanks to the quality service it offers to local, national and foreign tourists. The month of June Salkantay Trekking participated in the award directed by the Business Initiative Directions (IDB) The ceremony was held at the International Star for Leadership in Quality Convention, Paris 2018.

This past June 22nd, 2018, Salkantay Trekking had the honor of receiving the “Quality Peru 2018” award in response to its outstanding corporate management, and for accepting the commitment to Corporate Responsibility by always following a model of excellence set forth by LAEM.

We start the year 2018 with a good footing and with strong spirits. The “The best of year” society awarded us the “Inka Dorado Award 2018”, in merit of innovation in customer service with social responsibility in tourism services.

Journalists are people who handle a great deal of information about what is happening in our country. Thanks to this information, the Circle of Radio and Television Journalists recognizes, year after year, the characters that have contributed to the country's business.

The Miradas award is the highest international recognition granted by the Latin Communications Corporation, through Miradas magazine to companies, individuals and organizations linked to tourism, gastronomy and related activities that excel in the development of such activities.

At the end of 2017, in the facilities of the Westin Hotel & Convention Center in the city of Lima, we proudly received the "Excellence and Quality in Management 2017" award from the prestigious Business Community of Trade Treaties.

During 2017, we continued to improve the quality of our services and routes in a sustainable manner. That is why the main governing body of tourism in our region, the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade Tourism - DIRCETUR, awarded us this valuable recognition.

We are a pioneer in the innovation of trekking routes in the Cusco region with high quality standards. We offer camps specially designed to offer comfort to our passengers and not to threaten the natural landscape that surrounds them.

Our effort to offer quality tourist services and innovative routes has been reaping its fruits several years ago. Since 2016 we have the support and recognition of important institutions related to national tourism such as the Regional Government of Cusco.
