If your trip includes Machu Picchu, booking early helps us find entrance tickets for your preferred date, circuit, and visiting time. We also check accommodations and other services before confirming your reservation. If you choose the Inca Trail, we'll also need to verify the availability of official permits.
If your trip doesn't include Machu Picchu, planning is usually simpler and more flexible, even if you're arriving in about a month.

Our Salkantay Departures Take a Break in February At Salkantay Trekking, we don't regularly operate this route during February as a precaution to protect our travelers. Heavy rainfall can affect the trails and increase the risk of landslides.

Not necessarily. It means the trip is confirmed for travelers who have already booked. To add new travelers, we need to check entrance tickets and the other services included in the itinerary again.
Our first choice is usually Circuit 2. If it's sold out, we'll check Circuit 3. If that isn't available either, we'll present the Circuit 1 options that are compatible with your itinerary.

We'll also need to verify the other services. On the Salkantay Trek, for example, this includes available spaces at our campsites. For the Inca Trail, a Machu Picchu entrance ticket alone isn't enough; you'll also need the corresponding official Inca Trail permit.
