Yuraq Quirucha in Patabamba, Calca - Strengthening Dental Health
Salkantay Trekking carried out a dental health campaign in Patabamba as part of the "Yuraq Quirucha" - White Teeth project.
In its commitment to supporting communities, the travel agency Salkantay Trekking and Clínica Medical Cusco visited the center of Patabamba in the district of Coya, province of Calca. During their visit, they raised awareness among more than 200 children and adolescents about the importance of dental health care.
Teachers and parents also participated in this activity, and dynamics were carried out so that children could learn more effectively about the importance of caring for their teeth.
Since 2017, Salkantay Trekking has developed this project with the Quechua motto "YURAQ QUIRUCHA," which means "WHITE TEETH." The main objective is to educate children on dental care and help them become aware of the importance of their dental health.
