Hello friends, my name is Rogelio, and it's a pleasure to tell you my story. I was born on October 12th, and I speak English, Spanish, and Quechua. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and children; they are my biggest motivation to strive daily.

I chose to study tourism because tourists and travelers always surrounded me. I enjoyed learning about our ancestors. Today, the information focuses mainly on our ancestors' experiences and respect for them. Kindness, patience, empathy, and a good smile when answering a passenger's question are the added values that differentiate me from others.

My mission as a guide is to be an ambassador of my culture and transmit my knowledge to others; it's what I'm passionate about in life. A good leader must effectively interact with others, knowing how to listen, support, and explain coherently all the mysteries and secrets that our country holds.

I have been working as a guide for 7 years, and I have been part of Salkantay Trekking for 5 years. The routes that I frequently do in the company are all the programs related to Salkantay because I have extensive experience in this trek. If you are interested in the Salkantay trail, then you know that the Incas created other beautiful routes, and there are different ways to get to Machu Picchu. This trek is complete.
