I chose to study tourism because I like to teach and protect our heritage.
My name is Eder, and I am part of the Salkantay Trekking family. I was born on September 9th, 1986, in Amparaes, Calca - Cusco. I speak Spanish, English, and Quechua, the official language of the Incas. I enjoy walking and cycling.
I chose to study tourism because I like to teach and protect our heritage. I believe that what sets me apart from others is the passion I put into sharing my culture. My mission is to teach the world about our surroundings and the captivating history surrounding us.
Peru has an astonishing history that will leave you captivated. My added value is exploring new places and transmitting energy and knowledge in local agriculture. Every day is a challenge; we must make the most of it. One way is to do what you love, and I am passionate about traveling and telling the history of this beautiful country.
Of all the places I have visited, the one that has impacted me the most is Choquequirao. This impressive archaeological site is located between the collision of two worlds: the Andes and the Peruvian Amazon. Choquequirao, also known as "the cradle of gold," is the favorite place for adventure lovers because of the challenge of getting there and its mysterious history. If you want to live a different experience, do not hesitate to visit the "sister of Machu Picchu."
I have been a guide for 12 years and have the most experience in Salkantay, Inca Trail, Ausangate, Choquequirao, Inca Jungle, Lares, and Huchuy Qosqo. At Salkantay Trekking, I have been working as a guide for 5 years, and the programs I most frequently do are Alternates and Salkantay. Whichever destination you choose, I assure you that you will take away great memories of your trip.
One of my great aspirations as a guide is to be an ambassador for Peru and open this amazing country's doors to the whole world.
At Salkantay Trekking, we all work as a family. We are responsible, charismatic, sociable, and clearly aim to exceed your expectations when visiting our country. I hope to see you soon to discover together the best that Cusco offers.
