MY TOUR WAS CANCELED WHEN I WAS DOING THE TOUR/TREK.

The sudden cancellation of your tour/trek was due to the government's announcement to put the entire national territory in a state of emergency. This measure restricts local urban land transport and cancels provincial and departmental land transport, as well as the closure of all national and international borders from March 16 to June 30.

This measure also implies the suspension of all kinds of cultural, recreational, sporting and leisure events, so all visits to museums, monuments, libraries, archives and all establishments that gather people were canceled.

This measure seeks to avoid the crowding of people and the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

I HAVE A TOUR/TREK BOOKED BETWEEN MARCH AND JUNE, WHAT CAN I DO?

We regret to inform you that due to the situation we are experiencing, Salkantay Trekking has been decided to apply flexible the terms & conditions because is due to circumstances of external force majeure unrelated to the company (propagation of COVID-19) in order to comply with the health emergency provisions established by the Peruvian state - SUPREME DECREE D.S. 044-2020-PCM.

This decision was taken because tourism, as the main economic activity of Cusco, brings together the largest number of jobs in the region, so our company must shield its assets so it allows us to start operations again as soon as possible for this reason we do not offer a refund so we will be providing you the option to change your date tour/trek date without paying any penalty during July 1st to December 31st, 2020.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE RESERVATIONS OF JULY AND AHEAD?

Reservations and date changes are subject to the Salkantay Trekking terms and conditions. In case of date changes, the passenger will pay the corresponding penalties. For cancellations, no options to refund.
