Yuraq Quirucha in Kcauri - Strengthening Dental Health
Salkantay Trekking carried out a dental health campaign in Kcauri as part of the "Yuraq Quirucha" - White Teeth project.
In collaboration with the Clínica Medical Cusco and the Latin American Spanish Academy, the travel agency visited the town of Kcauri in the district of Ccatca, province of Quispicanchi, and attended to more than 300 children and adolescents.
As part of the campaign, Clínica Medical Cusco members gave oral hygiene talks and carried out fluoride treatment for the participants. They also distributed toothpaste and brushes for the daily cleaning of children and adolescents.
The campaigns that are part of this project involve the active participation of the children. In this context, a drawing and painting contest was held and awarded the best works. It is worth noting that "Yuraq Quirucha" is part of the social project "Helping Hands," which aims to support people from remote communities in Cusco with limited economic resources.
