That’s why we employ chefs with years of experience cooking on the trail and extensive knowledge of ingredients and nutrition. That way, they can provide filling and varied meals with only the freshest of ingredients and many flavors.
Each year, Salkantay Trekking has an annual course for our chefs to help train, develop their skills, and create new dishes. Each of our menus is put together by an Andean nutrition expert. Many of the local dishes prepared on the routes are extremely nutritive and contain plenty of carbs - perfect for trekking!
