1. Urgent Trip to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).

You’ll need to head as soon as possible to this town located 110 km (68 miles) northeast of Cusco. You can get there by train or car, but the train will be much easier and faster.

Buy your one-way train ticket as early as possible. You have two options:

• Travel very early on the same day to get in line first thing in the morning.
