Never before have they travelled so much, nor to so many places.<i><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">That was the motivation for which an important <strong>adventure tourism<\/strong> company launched the \u201c<strong>Adventure Travel Index<\/strong>\u201d, a detailed study of preferences, motives, and behaviors of <strong>Australian tourists<\/strong> at the moment of deciding on a destination for their <strong>adventure vacation<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">In this list, <strong>Peru<\/strong> is identified as the 2nd most preferred adventure destination for <strong>Australian tourists<\/strong> who are interested in local food and open-air excursions. It\u2019s important to emphasize that <strong>Peru<\/strong> has stayed in the top 4 since 2016 along with <strong>Vietnam<\/strong>, <strong>India<\/strong>, and <strong>Cambodia<\/strong>. On the other hand, <strong>Peru<\/strong> has also appeared as number 4 of the top 10 preferred destinations for Australians traveling solo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salkantaytrekking.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Puerto-Malabrigo-La-Libertad.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-502 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.salkantaytrekking.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Puerto-Malabrigo-La-Libertad-1024x730.jpg\" alt=\"Puerto Malabrigo (La Libertad)\" width=\"1024\" height=\"730\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">This study also presents a series of trends predicted for 2019. It mentions that travel will directly affect people when it creates awareness, changes perceptions, and opens minds. It also indicates that millennials will be the ones who guide the practices of the tourism industry to be constantly more responsible and transparent. Finally, it mentions that adventure activities like cycling, <strong>trekking<\/strong> and <strong>kayaking<\/strong> will have more demand than activities that just offer relaxation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong>Peru<\/strong> continues consolidating its place as one of the most preferred destinations for travelers around the world. With the intention to keep developing its tourism industry, the Peruvian government announced that they have invested 205 million soles to improve the tourism infrastructure in various regions of the country. <strong>The minister of External Commerce and Tourism<\/strong>, Rogers Valencia, said, \u201cWe\u2019ve carried out important works in the Touristic Promenade of <strong>Puerto Malabrigo (La Libertad)<\/strong>, the <strong>Coffee Route<\/strong> in <strong>Villa Rica (Pasco)<\/strong>, the modernization of the <strong>Historical Center of Ayacucho<\/strong> and the improvement of the <strong>Quinoa Village (Ayacucho)<\/strong>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to a study done by an international travel agency, Peru is the 2nd most highly preferred adventure destination by Austrian tourists, after Vietnam. 2018 was a record year for Australian travelers.
