If you are in <strong>Cusco<\/strong>, it is best to take a taxi to Poroy (30 minutes from the city). The cost is about S\/ 30. From here, <strong>Peru Rail trains<\/strong> take about three and a half hours to <strong>Aguas Calientes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be noted that this company offers three services: the ultra-luxurious Hiram Bingham, the Vistadome (mid-range) and the Expedition (economic). For itineraries and prices visit: www.perurail.com or call: 51-84-581414.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you decide to take the train from <strong>Ollantaytambo<\/strong> (two hours from <strong>Cusco<\/strong> and one and a half from <strong>Machu Picchu Pueblo<\/strong>) you have the option of choosing services from <strong>Inca Rail<\/strong> call: 613-5272.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peru Rail<\/strong> also offers a wagon that departs from <strong>Urubamba<\/strong> towards <strong>Machu Picchu<\/strong>.<br>Once you have arrived in <strong>Aguas Calientes<\/strong>, you have two options to get to the citadel: one is to walk the 8 km to the entrance or take a bus (leaving every 15 minutes) from 5:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prices for going up and down to the sanctuary are $17.00 USD for foreign adults and $12.00 USD for national adults.
